THREE DAYS • THREE ARTISTS
DAY 1 — DAVID HOCKNEY
COLOR • PERSPECTIVE • POINT OF VIEW
We’ll explore Hockney’s bold use of color and unique approach to landscape, then create colorful landscapes of our own.
DAY 2 — CLAUDE MONET
LIGHT • ATMOSPHERE • COLOR
We’ll discover how Monet used light and color to capture different seasons, weather, and times of day, then create our own landscape inspired by light.
DAY 3 — HENRI MATISSE
SHAPE • PATTERN • COLLAGE
We’ll explore Matisse’s cut-paper artwork, paint our own colorful papers, and use them to create original landscape collages.
THE APPROACH
We learn from great artists—
but we don’t copy them.
Young artists are encouraged to experiment, make their own creative choices, and use what they’ve learned to create artwork that feels like theirs.
